Growing up, I always admired my mom’s pragmatism. She was a “Do-It-Yourself” kind of person, whose profound independence contradicted the stereotype of not just Arab women, but women in general. She wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty and fix things, and when emergencies occurred, she knew exactly how to respond at the mercy of herself. That’s when the idea struck me: why not create a platform for women to learn useful skills that could empower them?
WHAT IS TI2DARY?
Ti2dary is an interactive video platform (will launch with a website and youtube channel and eventually follow with an application) that contains: SHORT, CLEAR, STRAIGHTFORWARD, HIGH QUALITY, and DEMONSTRATIONAL, ARABIC Videos for WOMEN, by WOMEN!
We will also make a campaign that promotes stories of Arab female pioneers to inspire girls and women and redefine what it means to be a woman from the Arab world.
WHAT’S SO SPECIAL ABOUT IT?
Our edge is our focus on teaching women skills that everyone on the planet seems to think are only for men—like—car fixes, home fixes, technology, business 101, (and even in some parts of the Arab world) how to drive!
EXAMPLES OF VIDEOS
Our first videos will include:
· How to change a light bulb
· How to change a flat tyre
· How to paint a wall
Our campaign will include a short film series that includes a profile on one of the first female pilots in the world, the Egyptian Lotfia ElNadi.
When you contribute to Ti2dary, you contribute to spreading practical knowledge that could potentially save someone’s life or help someone start a new life. You help us make videos that empower women to take charge of their lives and not feel that like they're at the mercy of societal conventions. By supporting Ti2dary, you challenge the notion that women in the MENA region have to struggle indefinitely to find equality in society.

--20% towards purchasing high quality lavalier mics, telephoto and wide camera lenses, a light kit
--45% towards hiring freelance graphic designers, editors, camera operators, sound recorder, web designer to produce the videos and the website.
--5% towards purchasing items for use in the videos itself and any necessary rental equipment.
