Sukarh is a project that was first created after tasting "Halawih Zalabia" from Nablus and being told the only way to taste this traditional Palestinian sweet is to bring it from there! From this experience, Sukarh was established as a means of sharing this delicious sweet and at the same time uniting the people in the Middle East.
Sukarh itself represents a union simply through the materials and process used in making it: the jars are from Saudi Arabia, the fabric that covers the jar is from Egypt, the sweet in the jar is from Nablus and the hands that make it are Jordanian! Beside behind every sweet we have there is a story that we would like to share for the new generation so we save our heritage in our mind, heart ...
We are Hawazin Khataybeh and Ghassan Halawa, a team who believe in our Arab Nation and love to spread Happiness around us. We come from different backgrounds; Hawazin is a speech language therapist and learning support teacher assistant, and Ghassan is an Entrepreneurship Consultant, and has an undergraduate degree in Management Information System and a MBA.
We wanted Sukarh to create happiness for three parties. First, people who tasted Sukarh as children. When they taste our product, it will remind them of good times from their childhood and will bring a smile on their faces. Second, our community, as Sukarh will give 10% of every jar sold to local start ups in an effort to help establish home businesses. Third, the Sukarh team. Our goal is to help establish 20 home business in our first year. Accomplishing this will give our team happiness.
Your support to Sukarh means that happiness will reach a larger number of people in our community ....
Sukarh needs $6500 to accomplish its goals. This money will be used for the following:
2000$ Production equipment
2000$ Website development
1000$ Marketing and online advertising
1000$ packing, research and development
Everyone who contributes to this campaign will not only help make Sukarh succeed, but will also support 5 home businesses. This, in turn, will help nearly 30 family members become more productive and independent.
Sukarh has already proven itself as a successful business plan. In February 2015, the Sukarh team earned third place at the Maker Hackathon-Amman.
And now Sukarh is a project follower in enpact program that is powered by the German government, in which we have a mentor from Germany to monitor our work provide Sukarh with the connection and support we need
We know that helping our community is very important to all of us! The least we can do is share the link of Sukarh Zoomaal campaign and spread the word about this exciting business venture. Your help will be much appreciated...
