HOW AND WHY DID THE PROJECT STARTED?

We strongly believe that talent and creativity do not depend on religion, nationality or social class. The main reason we're giving birth to this project is to increase awareness about the struggles tha million of refugees go through everyday.

However, our goal does not stop here. We believe that refugees not only need to have a chance to express themselves to the world, but  also need to bring up the passions and talents that they buried inside with the advent of war and the excruciating living conditions.

WHAT IS MUSE?

MUSE is a psychological drama about a twelve years old Syrian refugee who, after facing traumatic events from the war, wakes up in a refugee camp only to find out that his beloved mother and his two siblings are not there. With the help of music as a therapeutic tool and his two friends, he embarks on a journey to his war-torn village trying to find his family.

We want this story to be as real as possible. We want to see this story through the refugee's point of view and this is why we decided to shoot in a real refugee camp with syrian refugees.

The protagonist and his two friends, who are actual refugees from one of the Akkar refugee camps, will receive acting workshops during the project and may find comfort and solace in drama.

During the shooting days, the crew will constantly be in touch with the refugees in order to transmit their ideas, thoughts and personal feelings about the war and to make sure that we represent their realities in the most accurate manner.
