Every year, almost 200 teams come from universities all across the country to compete in the Egyptian Collegiate Programming Contest (ECPC), it’s the second phase from 3 phases they have to go through in order to compete in the ICPC World Finals.
The two teams “Evil Potatoes” and “Wana ba2ollak accepted”, despite one having less member, have come in 27th and 31th places respectively, which means they have been qualified for the final phase before the World Finals: The Arab Collegiate Programming Contest.
Competing in regional level has been their goal over the last year, even two years for some. They have dedicated their time in practicing and training, with the hope of making it through, they competed in their university's local contest and made it to the top 10, they achieved good results in this year’s national contest and they did qualify already, unfortunately they lack the contest fees, and college won’t provide any financial funds for them.
In total they need $4000, each team has to pay $2000:
$1500 -- for accommodation (mandatory) and registration fees.
$500 -- Coach fees.
You can find the details here:
We have put milestones that cover their fees minus the coach one, as it would be sufficient for them even to go without their coaches.
Coach: Hesham El-Sahhar.
Coach: Hossam Eissa.
Ahmed Abd El Karim.
Omar Osama Diab.
Help these teams compete in ACPC, any help would be greatly appreciated, it would mean a lot in their competitive programming experience and increase their odd in qualifying to the World Finals.
