The Lebanese army and the French Contingent in Lebanon are organizing for the second year in a row the race for solidarity.
This race is a sporting and physical challenge which aims at supporting our soldiers wounded during operation. The originality and strength of this project lies in bringing together the French and Lebanese armies to run alongside each other for their injured soldiers on a 125 km long route in South-Lebanon.
This race carries a world of meaning: supporting the injured with sport. Sport is often a key aspect of the physical and psychological recovery of soldiers injured during operations.
The Lebanese army and the French Contingent in Lebanon (FINUL) will gather up teams of runners who will have to run 125kms, divided into 10kms relay races.
Activities will be organized by municipalities of the major villages along the route, including RUMAYSH, TIBNINE, NAQOURA and TYR where the departure and arrival of the race will take place.
Why organise a solidarity race?
Our Lebanese and French participants will run to collect funds that will then be reverted to national trusts that support injured soldiers: The Francois El Hajj Foundation for the Lebanese army and Cellule d’Aide aux Blessés de l’Armée de Terre for the French army.
Within this framework, we are currently looking for funds that will help us complete this promising initiative.
By joining this adventure, you will be involved in a sporting, charitable and noble project. You will be part of a promising and audacious French-Lebanese challenge with great impacts at both local and national levels.
You will be associated to an event that will make a mark on everyone’s minds and that, most certainly, endorses the same values that you defend.
