Amer Al Taher is a Jordanian music producer and performer. He is a rapper of Palestinian origins, whose music takes on a contemporary style that is inspired by spaces he occupies, the people he speak to and for, as well as daily details he finds stimulating. It was in 2006 when Al Taher performed his first live concert in the capital of Jordan, Amman. In 2008, he established a music band, Share’ 962, which performed its first concert in Amman Summer Festival, in Al Hussein Park. As early as 2008, their music was new to the music scene which had never been introduced to such genre. This paved the way to the dissemination of this particular kind of music and its promotion within local communities. Amer Al Taher launched his first album, Angle 360, in 2012 when he collaborated with a number of talented producers and musicians, such as Tamer Naffar from DAM, a Palestinian rap band, and other producers such as Damar, Omar Othman, Maen Hijazein, and Jihaz. Al Taher is the lead singer and lyricist of project Al Mukhtar which was met with great enthusiasm on social media and live concerts thereafter. He worked together with local as well as international artists on vocal as well as visual projects; he participated in a number of music concerts in local Jordanian and various Arab capitals in the regions. On the one hand, Amer aspired to document in his music the actuality lived by the Arab youths. On the other, he seeks to reflect such reality through the power of words and music, in order to achieve a higher standard of living and expression.
this campaign is to bring together financial contributions to support the launch of Amer Altaher’s second Album, Aks Alseil.
