Karma is a Lebanese, non-profit, non-governmental organisation registered at the Lebanese Ministry of Interior in November 2015 (No. 2565.) Through fundraising and personal donations, Karma raises funds to pay for the tertiary medical treatment of underprivileged and refugee children in Lebanon. Most notably, Karma makes no distinction based on nationality, ethnic origin, religion, or political affiliation, and believes that all children deserve access to healthcare. Furthermore, Karma not only provides financial support, but also psycho-social relief to its children and their families. As such, Karma works closely with the patients and their families to be sure that their needs are met and that they understand both the treatment and health care system in Lebanon. As Karma is a volunteer based organization, Karma is organized by passionate and dedicated people who take the time to know each child intimately. Thus, Karma's children are a part of a larger family, and are not just seen as cases. All private donations Karma raises- including through Zoomaal- go towards the medical treatment of Karma's children.
