Born in Beirut in 1979, Josef Kalüf obtained his B.A. in Advertising & Marketing from Notre Dame University (NDU 2001). Later on, he started working on feature films, short films, music videos, and TV commercials as freelance Production Manager and Producer. He made his two first short films in 2005, “Holiday in the Mountains” and “Higher State of Consciousness”. In 2008, he completed his third short film “The House That Once Was Home”, that was officially selected at the Cyprus International Film Festival (CIFF 2009). In 2014 - 2015, his feature length documentary “Conflict 1949 – 1979” was screened in Lebanon, Turkey, Italy and Scotland. Presently, the research process has started for the writing of his feature length fiction that’s going to be achieved during the upcoming year.
