Born in Syria on June 20, 1992, Faia grew up in the iconic musical city of Aleppo in a family that cherishes culture and arts. At the age of eleven, she moved with her family to Sweden. Her innate talent started to shine as she began singing and playing piano at a very young age at family gatherings. Faia carried the warmth of oriental melodies with her, and she was barely nineteen when her mesmerizing voice charmed the audiences of cultural events in Stockholm. In 2014, and in partnership with her sister Rihan, Faia launched her first video titled “To Our Countries” on Youtube, addressing the war-torn countries of the Levant. The video made a sensation and went viral, reaching more than 1.8 million views in no time. The sisters’ moving video was so impactful that they were invited to perform the song as opening act to the renowned Carthage Film Festival. Faia has a Masters of Arts in Economics and Business Management from the University of Glasgow and she is fluent in Arabic, English, Swedish, Syriac and intermediate in French.
